Leeanna's art studies began at the Stevenson Academy of Fine Arts in Oyster Bay, NY in 2004. This is where she studied under painter and illustrator Attila Hejja while working as his assistant. In 2007 Leeanna decided to dedicate her life to pursuing her art education full-time.
She started by attending the New York Art Students League where she studied figurative painting with artist Nelson Shanks. There she won a scholarship to study with Mr. Shanks at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. She went on to continue her studies at the Long Island Academy of Art under full scholarship with Robert Armetta. There she worked closely with the Director to implement various art programs and taught classes. Moving from Oyster Bay to Bushwick and pursuing her education even more rigorously she began her training at the Grand Central Academy in New York. Later she was accepted to study with Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier.
In addition to showing in galleries throughout New York she has been accepted to the Hudson River Fellowship three times and is a winner of the John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund.
Leeanna teaches at the Teaching Studios of Art in Oyster Bay, Long Island and the Decorus Atelier in downtown Manhattan.
