Zimou Tan is a professional fine artist and educator who was named “Chinese Master Artist” in December of 2007 by the Chinese government Art and Culture department. He was also selected as one of "The 50 Artists Impacting China".
Tan was born and raised in Canton, China, apprenticed to Chinese Master Artist Le, YiFeng at age 12. At age 14 he immigrated to America with his family. Tan graduated from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco in 2001. There he earned degrees in both Traditional Illustration and Fine Arts.
His paintings have been presented in the New York Portrait Society Gallery in New York City; American Artists Professional League- 73rd Grand National Exhibition in the New York City; de Young Museum, San Francisco, California, and Asia Society of Arts of America, San Francisco, California, RH Gallery, and Tampa Museum of Art.
Zimou’s work has been featured in “International Artist Magazine” “Art of the West Magazine”, "The artist magazine", "Stroke of Genius", “Chinese Master Artist”, and “The 50 Artists impacted China”. He has also been selected as a finalist in the 2014, and 2015 ARC Salon Competition, and a winner in the 2015 Oil Painters of America Competition.
